Meinl Cymbals Proudly Introduces the Mb8 Series Brann Dailor Signature 21" Ghost Ride

Meinl cymbals is proud to announce the release of the Mb8 series Brann Dailor 21” Ghost Ride. The cymbal was developed in cooperation with Brann, the drummer for the highly successful and critically acclaimed band Mastodon. This cymbal features a unique look and sound which combines a glassy ping with a warm shimmering body. The raw black bell delivers a cutting clear punch.

I finally found the ride I was looking for,” comments Brann. “It has just the right amount of everything. The bell is neither too big nor too small, so when you need that articulation, you have it. It’s the perfect medium ride cymbal that can fit into any style of music. No reason to be afraid of this ghost, try it and see.

The cymbal’s unique dark look is created by a special process where the surface of the cymbal is heat-treated and then lathed,” explains Meinl’s product manager Stefan Müller. “All the logos on the cymbal including Mastodon’s “Remission” logo are laser engraved onto the surface which creates a nice finish with a lot of contrast.
