Techtip:
It really depends on the type of music. A Jazz Drummer will certainly tune his drums much higher than a Metal or Rock Drummer. Take the old head off, clean both the rim and shell, and then put the new head on. Tune it all the way up to stretch the head out. Then start with the lowest drum and tune the kit up all the way to the highest tom. I like the sound to be low and fat. But as I said, every drummer has a different taste.
