Highlight of your career so far:

Winning the Guitar Center Drum Off, winning the Roland V-Drums Competition, being on Drum Channel and jamming with Terry Bozzio, touring and creating music with people I love.

Versatility, odd times, left foot coordination, musicality, feel, dynamics, good reading ability. Extremely handsome.

Drumming means to me:

For me, drumming is a vessel that allows me to express myself and share the creation of music with other musicians and listeners. I'm all about people. the most fulfilling moments in my musical career have been times when I've created something meaningful and passionate with other people. It brings me joy and is constantly humbling because there is always so much more to learn.

Advice for up and coming drummers:

Do you! Don't be afraid to do something different! If you love what you do, really want to do it, and are prepared to put the time in, you can make it happen. Be prepared to work really hard every day though. Go out and chase it, contact your idols, do competitions, be creative, do what makes you happy, obsess! and take a step back and realize how awesome what you do is! 

How would you describe yourself:

Tall, skinny, mohawk-clad, white guy from the suburbs of Minnesota.... that pretty much sums it up. 

When I look back on my life one day, I would like to be able to say:

It worked! I fooled them all! ;)
