Techtip:
The only advice I can give is don't do things to ghe drums that make them how YOU want them. Find out exactly what the drummer you're working for wants; cleaning, tuning, spiking, miking, etc... Other than that; I've picked up my own ways of doing things that don't work for everyone. Just do what you know and you'll come up with your own way of making it happen.
Jaren Shavelson about Derek Youngsma
Derek is pretty easy because we have been friends for a couple of years. I guess he just trusts me because he basically lets me do anything to his drums as long as they're set up properly and in time for the sick gig.
