Drumtech

Name:
French Freddy
Techs for Bobby since:
1994
Other artists French Freddy works for:
Thomas Lang, Liberty Devito
Techtip:
Treat your drums, cymbals and hardware with respect and love. They will give it back to you when you need it most! Before a tour I always try to have the full drum kit set up as it will be onstage. I then mark all the hardware with memory mark and put numbers on all the stands, starting with 1, going clockwise when seated behind the kit. When taking down a kit, I try to leave the hardware as complete as possible, tearing down as little as the cases allow. This way it is more likely everything will be set up the same the next show, plus I save time, and wear and tear on the threads of nuts and bolts!
French Freddy about Bobby Arechiga
As a Drummer, Bobby can play with finesse or demonstrate his power in a large palette varied musical styles. He is so versatile, he can play anything! He has got so much control; his knowledge of the drums is phenomenal. He is the best technician I have ever seen. He has independence between all his limbs, ambidextrous with both hands and feet. Scary! Bobby is up there with the greatest drummers of this planet!
It is a privilege to work and be friends with such a smart and nice person. We can talk for hours on the way to gigs or stay quiet, but the communication is still there, be it through our silences or our words.
